First line of the first entry from every month. Except because this journal is brand spaking new, I took these from my old journal. C'est la vie.

January:
I got this from Laura's LJ, and since I'm bored at the moment I thought I'd do it.

February:
The Arcade Fire show was amazing.

March:
Michelle is completely in a tizzy right now becuase Lloyd Banks (yes, people, that would be *the* Lloyd Banks of G-Unit...) is now officially coming to Washington, DC in April.

April:
Maybe this is a stupid question, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyway:

Why on *earth* is Adrien Brody, an Oscar-winning actor of very high caliber, lowering himself to the point of doing a lame Diet Coke commercial???

May:
Right now I am in Palmyra, PA (mapquest!) which is where my good friend Johanna lives with her mother, brother, dog, and six cats.

June:
There are only about 40 minutes left to my last work day of the week.

July:
NONE

August:
All right, so I don't know how many days of summer vacation have passed, other than "a lot."

September:
NONE

October:
Here's something that drives me crazy: clicking a link from an e-mail and having it go from the LJ update page to its own page, thus getting rid of one's in-progress update.

November:
Today's gorgeous.

December:
Okay, guys, it's December.

So, in other words, Lennon is right and I really am pretty mundane and boring. So be it. At least I'm happy with myself about 83% of the time. Yes, I made that percentage up. However, I think it's probably pretty accurate.

Now, on a completely different note, I was just reading quotes from the His Dark Materials trilogy, and I was reminded yet again of how powerful Pullman's writing is. Even little snippets have the power to blow me away, and re-reading the line about Will & Lyra parting ways makes me feel as though I am going to cry.

If I could write even half as well as Philip Pullman, I think I would be happy.
